Episode 13
Simone Stancil discusses the recent trend of protests by professional athletes with OJ Spivey, a sports writer, and Dr. Lois Butcher-Poffley, an Assistant Professor of Sports Psychology at Temple. Together they discuss the athletes’ right to express their views and how these protests factor into our current political landscape.
Next, Toni Thomas takes a closer look at how welcoming Temple’s campus is to immigrants and international students. Amaya Pavon, Temple student and DACA recipient, and Tyler Lum, TSG Director of Government Affairs, join her to discuss what the DACA repeal could mean for students.
