The Art of Being Izzy follows a hardheaded Chinese American student as she struggles to accept her culture while at college. The film explores how attitudes of personal identity can effect self-development and how one treats others.
Made in the Directing and Producing Capstone course in the Media Studies and Production Department, half-hour narrative film was shot and edited by Eli LaBan, directed by Colin Pawlowski, and written by Christina Lew. News satire show debuts on TUTV this week
Can’t bear to watch the news anymore? TUTV’s new program Unqualified puts a satirical spin on the latest headlines. With a similar format to The Daily Show and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Unqualified takes a look at hard-hitting topics and hits them out of the arena in the opposite direction. In the premiere, host Lindsey Ferguson hits the streets to “Get it out there!”, visits with her eccentric uncle Walt, and interviews two high school best frenemies for insight into U.S.-North Korea relations.
Unqualified premieres on TUTV Saturday, December 9 at 3:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
