Womens Rowing
Mia Bowie and Tim Misnik welcome Rebecca Smith Grzybowski to the program, who analyzes her first season as Head Coach for Temple’s Womens Rowing team. Grzybowski speaks in particular about the adversity her team faced as they went from being one of of several teams cut from Temple Athletics to being the only team to be reinstated, which resulted in an unsurmountable heap of work for her to tackle.
Temple Rowers Moira Meekes and Annie Buckley then join the program to give some insight into how the teammates motivate one another during a meet, all the while vigorously rowing against the different variables that Mother Nature presents. Buckley speaks about her personal rise in the sport of rowing from coming on as a walk-on to now being integral to the team’s lineup. In contrast to Buckley, Meekes speaks about her long standing relationship with the sport from having had grown up in Drexel Hill and regularly racing on the Schuylkill.
