TUTV is proud to premiere a special Student Conversation on Monday, December 2, featuring Jordy Freed (KLN ’12), Senior Director and Deputy Head of Sony Corporation of America’s Personal Entertainment Business. This exclusive program—produced in partnership with Klein College of Media and Communication—offers students a rare opportunity to learn directly from one of the most influential young leaders shaping the future of entertainment, audio technology and global brand strategy.
Jordy Freed is an award-winning marketing and business development executive with more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of technology, music and culture. His work at Sony spans global campaigns, strategic partnerships and product innovation across both consumer and professional audio technology. He has been recognized on Spin’s “Top 25 Most Influential People in Music,” Adweek 50, Business Insider’s “Rising Stars of Brand Marketing,” and Variety’s “Hollywood New Leaders”, and has received multiple Clio Awards and Pollstar’s NextGen Award for pushing the boundaries of creative marketing.
During the program, Jordy shares insights from leading Sony’s global “For The Music” campaign, shaping strategic relationships with Spotify, Amazon Music, SoundCloud and BandLab, and collaborating with chart-topping artists including SZA, Post Malone, Alicia Keys, Olivia Rodrigo, Miguel and Peso Pluma. He also discusses recent milestones such as launching the Sony Audio Institute with NYU Steinhardt and establishing Sony as the official pro audio partner of the GRAMMY Awards.
Before his tenure at Sony, Jordy held senior roles at Blue Note Entertainment Group, Grey Group and Rivet VR, developing campaigns for Intel, Pernod Ricard, the European Union Government, NHK and more. He also helped open Sony Hall in Times Square, blending live music with immersive audio-visual innovation.
For Klein students interested in branding, entertainment, music, technology, and creative strategy, this conversation provides invaluable perspective from a Temple graduate who has carved out a global impact. It’s a reminder of how far a Klein education—and a commitment to curiosity and creativity—can take you.
Tune in December 2 at 1pm and 9pm on TUTV for an inspiring and informative conversation with Jordy Freed, and join us in celebrating the successes of Klein College alumni leading the future of media and entertainment.
