Student Conversation with David Muir Premieres November 19 on TUTV

Each fall, Klein College honors the legacy of broadcasting pioneer Lew Klein with one of its most meaningful traditions — the Student Conversation. This signature event brings together students, faculty, and industry professionals for an inspiring dialogue with a leading voice in media.

This year’s guest was David Muir, anchor and managing editor of ABC World News Tonight. In a packed studio audience, Muir shared insights about authenticity in journalism, the emotional toll of covering global conflict, and the responsibility that comes with telling stories that shape public understanding.

Acting Dean Deborah Cai and Provost David Boardman opened the event, welcoming students and alumni to engage directly with one of the most trusted journalists in America. Throughout the conversation, students asked thoughtful questions about truth, mental health, and finding purpose in an ever-changing news landscape — embodying Lew Klein’s vision of learning from leaders who continue to define the industry.

The Student Conversation with David Muir premieres on Tuesday, November 19 at 1:00 PM and again at 9:00 PM on Temple University Television (TUTV).
