These thoughtfully curated programs reflect the depth of the Pope’s message and highlight the powerful sense of unity and faith that swept across Philadelphia during his stay.

The evening begins at 7:00 PM with The World Meeting of Families: 2015 Philadelphia, a compelling hour-long documentary that captures the heart and soul of the historic papal visit on September 26–27, 2015. This film offers viewers a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective on the massive undertaking that went into planning the event, from the complex logistical coordination involving city and church officials to the emotional investment of volunteers and residents. Featuring interviews with key figures, including event organizers, members of the Archdiocese, and local authorities, the documentary offers a moving portrait of a city united in its desire to welcome the Pope and celebrate the values of family, faith, and fellowship.

At 8:00 PM, the programming continues with a full broadcast of the Holy Mass celebrated by Pope Francis on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway during the 2015 World Meeting of Families. This Mass, attended by hundreds of thousands of faithful and dignitaries, including Archbishop Charles Chaput, remains one of the most significant religious events ever held in Philadelphia. Concluding the evening is The Holy Family: The Artist’s Perspective, a poignant five-minute short film produced by HMP. This piece chronicles the creation of the event’s official image, a striking depiction of the Holy Family painted by acclaimed artist Neilson Carlin of Kennett Square. The film provides insight into Carlin’s creative and spiritual process as he brings the image to life—a work intended to inspire contemplation and devotion, and one that became a central visual symbol of the World Meeting of Families.
