Queer Temple Is Back

Queer Temple is TUTV’s first LGBTQIA+ series, co-created by Temple students Christopher Smith and Andreas Copes and hosted by Andreas Copes. The program examines the world through the eyes of LGBTQIA+ individuals, reporting on current events, history, and life in the queer community.

In this newest episode, “Queer Elders,” host Andreas Copes and Adeja Wright turn the focus on prominent trailblazers, historical events, education, the LQBTQIA+ movement, and more.

First, Adeja talks to Temple students Allison Beck and Anna Rodefeld about Marsha P. Johnson and her role in the LGBTQIA community. They also discuss their experiences in getting an education in Queer History and how the absence of that education in schools is harmful. Later, Andreas is joined by the Curator of the John J. Wilcox, Jr. Archives at The William Way LGBT Community Center, Bob Skiba. Together, they discuss how and where to experience Queer History in the City of Brotherly Love and much more.

Tune in Monday, May 16 at 1:00 and 9:00 pm on TUTV.
