Wednesday: new program sheds light on vaccine hesitancy

TUTV Community Forum: Vaccine Hesitancy

As the pandemic continues, find out what Temple is doing behind the scenes to protect students and the neighboring community as a whole. Tune in to a new episode of TUTV Community Forum featuring an interview by host Alexis Beckett with Dr. Cornelius Pitts, the Director of the COVID-19 Vaccine Initiative at Temple University.

Working at the Temple Center for Urban Bioethics, Dr. Pitts has been involved in community-based research in the Temple community since the University first began offering the vaccine. Through his research, Dr. Pitts works to address and fight vaccine hesitancy, as well as the healthcare disparities that have existed long before the pandemic. This interview brings to light crucial discussions of community, trust, and science while Temple pushes for its students and neighbors to get vaccinated.

TUTV Community Forum is a student-run program covering serious issues and significant events that shape life at Temple University and the surrounding neighborhoods. Watch the premiere of this episode on Wednesday, September 15 at 1 and 9 p.m.
