A Broader View

As the weather is getting colder and people are forced to stay inside, how will the second wave of the pandemic affect communities of color and what is being done to help? Host Mikyhial Clarke speaks with Duke researcher Dr. Tracy Wang and Kadida Kenner, Director of Campaigns at the PA Budget and Policy Center, about how Black and brown Americans are disproportionately affected by COVID-19.

Later, co-host Courtney Murphy takes a closer look at how inclusive representation in politics is shaping youth outlook. Courtney sits down with guests Asyah Keenan, a mother from West Orange, NJ, and Jaimee Swift, the Executive Director of Black Women Radicals in Washington, D.C., to discuss.
