How do you overcome the loss of a loved one?

Two people embracing one another

Professor Lisa Bien again tackles a difficult subject in a new episode of Bouncing Back, this time perhaps the hardest of all: mourning the death of a loved one.

Losing a loved one is hard enough, but coping with the aftermath can also be tough. Temple student Audrey Allen recounts her experience losing a friend and neighbor, who died at the age of 16 due to complications caused by leukemia. She explains how she only dealt with this loss many years later.

Also on set is a therapist at Tuttleman Counseling Services who specializes in working with grief and loss. She gives insight into the process of grieving and how that can take different forms for different individuals.

Tune in to TUTV to see the premiere of this episode Wednesday, July 23 at 12:30 p.m. The program re-airs at 8:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.
