TUTV airs another Temple student produced documentary this Friday, June 5 at 12:30 p.m. The Power of Paint: Philadelphia Murals focuses on how the Mural Arts program provides a unique opportunity to showcase local artistic talent and expose their creative visions right on the city streets. The film was created, directed and produced by Ashley Lewis, Teresa Lundy, Kayla McBride, and Jarrett Ireland.
Their purpose in making the doc was to show how murals are a valuable enhancement to communities, buildings and personal development. To present the impact of murals, the documentary features interviews with a high school teacher, police officer, religious leaders and more. It will rebroadcast at 8:30 p.m. on Comcast channel 50, Verizon 45 and online.
