Women’s Soccer

Tommy Sladek and Simone Daniels sit down to speak to Seamus O’Connor, the head coach of Temple Women’s Soccer, and right away the subject of Temple’s win against Tulsa becomes the center of discussion. The game was a major victory scored during a game where two key players had to exit due to injuries. O’Connor reveals to the hosts that his coaching style reflects his upbringing in Ireland, his home country. O’Connor’s philosophy is to coach players well enough to tackle several different positions and be trained to play good soccer as opposed to trying to reach impressive stats. Joining the program later are soccer players Kelly Farrell and Shannon Senour. The players speak about  their nine-game winning streak, a first since 1995. Both players speak about what drew them to Temple.
