2013 Temple Sports Journalism Summit & APSE Mid-Atlantic Workshop

Speaking on these changes are special guests Temple Sports Information Director Larry Dougherty; Mike Jensen and Keith Pompey from the Philadelphia Inquirer; and Aimee Cicero, the Philadelphia Union Director of Communications. Together they cover the role of team communications vs. the expectations of the media.

Temple alumni return to their alma mater after successfully entering the broadcasting field. Covered in this workshop session is how to network effectively and other techniques to get into the business. Speaking on their careers in broadcasting are Shawn Oleksiak, Executive Producer of Live Events/Remote Productions and Comcast SportsNet; morning news and sports anchor for KYW radio and the voice of the Temple Owls and Comcast SportsNet’s “Inside Golf” Harry Donahue; Brandyn Campbell, a freelance writer, PR consultant, social media manager, producer of The Sports Muse blogs and “Women’s World” for the Philadelphia Eagles web site; and John Clark, NBC10 sports anchor.
