Library Lecture: Women of Color in the Media

Temple theater professor Kimmika Williams-Witherspoon hosts a lecture with guest panelists Meredith Broussard, who has written for the Philadelphia Inquirer and currently teaches at UPenn, and Temple faculty member Karen Turner, who serves as the chair of the University’s Academic Center on Research in Diversity and is the recipient of the 2013 Linback Award. Their discussion focuses on the black press in America and how women have played a pivotal role in developing the press.
