My South African Summer

Temple student reporter Hannah McComsey traveled to South Africa and brought back a first person look at the country for TUTV viewers. The first installment focuses on day-to-day life in the different neighborhoods of Johannesburg, the capital of South Africa.

In the part 2 of ‘My South African Summer,’ Hannah stood on top of the tallest building on the African continent, crawled through a maze of dark caves at the Cradle of Humankind, and got up close and personal with wild animals on a safari adventure.

Hannah travels to Cape Town, where she visits the beach, witnesses the spectacular views (including Signal Hill), and experiences first hand the worst storm Cape Town has had in 30 years.

Hannah explores Cape Town, South Africa further and later travels to the Cape of Good Hope, the most southwestern point of all of Africa, to witness the Atlantic like never before, where she meets some penguins!

In the final edition of her summer travelogue, Hannah captures underwater footage while shark-diving and goes parachuting off a mountain, flying above Cape Town.
