Night of The Living Dead

Night of the Living Dead

This 1968 horror classic was an amazing accomplishment for first time feature director George Romero and has become the benchmark of all Zombie films. What starts out as a routine visit to a graveyard to place flowers at the gravesite of a loved one, turns into a nightmarish struggle as young woman witnesses her brother being killed by a zombie who then trys to tear her apart. The intensity of her trying to prevent the zombie from breaking into her locked car is one of the most memorable moments in this gruesome yet riveting film. The intensity rises to a higher level as a group of flesh eating zombies, searching for humans to devour, trap a group of people in an abandoned house and proceed to break in and cannibalize the occupants.
