My Dear Secretary (1948)

Playboy writer, Owen Waterbury (Kirk Douglas), fresh from the success of Last Year’s Love, is giving a lecture to a class of aspiring writers about honesty and writing from the heart. In the middle of his talk, after catching the eye of a beautiful blonde student, Stepanie Gaylord (Laraine Day), he announces that he is going to offer a “helping hand” to a male or female student by offering the lucky person a job as his personal secretary.
