Life with ADHD

Host Lisa Bien invites student Ethan Wasserman to share how his life has been impacted since receiving a diagnosis of ADHD in kindergarten. Ethan describes how this disorder not only made it hard for him to succeed academically, but also caused him to feel mentally inferior, which in turn damaged his self-esteem. Utilizing the Wellness Resource Center (HEART) on campus, he has since learned techniques to cope with ADHD, which allow him to help others as a peer educator and mentor at Temple.

Providing clinical and general insight into this condition, Lisa Bien also speaks to Lauren Highsmith, a Temple alumna and current Student Resources Coordinator for the University’s Disability Resources and Services department.
