Watch “A Fierce Kind of Love” on TUTV this Wednesday

A Fierce Kind of Love, a project of Visionary Voices

In a collage of text, movement and song, A Fierce Kind of Love explores the largely untold story of the intellectual disabilities rights movement in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania from 1968 to the present. It was described as “a transcendent, modern, and startling performance of humor and poignancy, outrage and sweetness” by The Inquirer. The story is told by a cast of mixed abilities, including five well-known Philadelphia-area performers.

Temple’s Institute on Disabilities commissioned the play and it ended its short run in 2016, so be sure not to miss it on TUTV! Tune in on Wednesday, June 14 at 1 and 9 p.m. to Comcast 50, Verizon 45 or watch it online.
