You can’t say ‘ghost’ without saying ‘host’!

Nick the Beat

TUTV will premiere a new horror film anthology series hosted by Nick the Beat, who also happens to be a beatnik ghost.

A lost member of a lost generation, Nick was an undergrad at Temple in the 1960’s when he accidentally fell and found himself trapped in the foundation of Annenberg Hall. It remains his home and haunt to this day, and after dark he emerges as coolest ghoul on campus. Now he’s the guiding spirit behind the spookiest movies on cable TV.

Nick the Beat Presents is a limited run of thrillers and horror flicks from the TUTV Vault. The character was developed, written and performed by Temple Theater student Alex Monsell.

The ghoul himself is personally selecting films, and his debut offering is George A. Romero’s 1968 zombie classic Night of the Living Dead, airing this Friday, March 20 at 4 and 8 p.m.

Watch it online when it airs or on cable channels Comcast 50/Verizon 45 within the city of Philadelphia.
